Are you buying real NMNH?
NMNH is perhaps the most faked supplement on the market, in general there are a lot of fake top rated, top selling supplements, but NMNH has the highest level of fraud I have ever seen. Also the quality of legitimate NMNH on the market hasn't really been great when it comes to stability. The only kind of NMNH we would personally trust is Uthpeak NMNH, and at this time from what we have seen we are the only brand providing 3rd party Certificates of Analysis with our NMNH testing for NMNH.
We will walk you through the questionable market of NMNH. With the brands mentioned below we can not conclusively say the supplements are fraudulent, although there are a lot of things that don't seem to add up for them, and there are to many red flags to ignore. We plan on testing the brands below mentioned and sharing the test results with you. We can share the results but can not post the actual COA's as the testing laboratories do not want us to do this. If we do it we would be contractually obligated to pay their legal expenses if they go to court.
If fake supplements being common amongst top selling and top ranked supplements is not something you were aware of, towards the bottom of this article we will have some learning material with independent testing data to help educate you on this.
The #1 selling NMNH on Amazon shows over three thousand bottles sold a month.
You can see using my helium10 tool this seller is based out of China. In the customer reviews I was able to find the address they advertise on the back of the bottle, which is 606 cow rd. Buffalo Junction VA, this is farm land and obviously not their location.
According to the USPTO this brand is trademarked, the owner of this trademark is an individual who resides in and is a citizen of China.
Also the dosing and price will tell you that economically the price makes no sense, 30g of NMNH per bottle for $36.79 is far below the raw material cost for NMNH.
The #3 selling NMNH on Amazon is also based out of China
It is also from a Chinese seller, it has 30g of NMNH per bottle for $39.99, far under the raw material cost. If you look up the address on the bottle you can see it is for a huge multi-use office building, but the bottle doesn't any office number. They just put the general address on the bottle, this is another red flag. Another thing I have noticed is when a brand is advertising a dose far above the norm they are almost always fraudulent. 1000mg per serving for NMNH is interestingly high to say the least. I believe this appeals to the uneducated consumer thinking more is better.
According to the USPTO this company's brand is trademarked, and the trademark is owned by a company based out of China.
The #4 selling NMNH on Amazon this is a company out on Hungary.
They advertise that their product is made in the USA. Once again the 30g per bottle at $34.39 is far under the raw material costs. Anytime you see liposomal which causes a large price increase know that the probability the the product is fake skyrockets. Fraudsters love to advertise liposomal. The address shown on the bottle is advertised online as a virtual office space, something a foreign company would look to use.
According the USPTO this brand is trademarked, and owned by an individual currently residing in and a citizen of Belarus.
The #5 selling product is also sold by a Chinese company.
They advertise being made in the USA, and sell 60grams of NMNH for $39.20. Obviously far below raw material costs. I have personally never seen a legitimate NMNH raw material manufacture powder charge under $2 a gram. That is with purchasing extremely large order quantities. Supplements in general can sell nowhere near raw material costs due to shipping, manufacturing, testing, storage, and advertising expenses.
According to the USPTO this brand is trademarked and is owned by an individual residing in and is a citizen of China.
What do these companies all have in common, they are foreign, they have great review generation strategies, maybe they offer you a free bottle for your review, they are extremely cheap, have great marketing, and advertise everything you think is valuable as an uneducated supplement purchaser.
These problems are not limited to Amazon, but are everywhere. It is just easier to show Amazon as an example as they show you based on sales what the top selling products are. This way I am able to show this is not some fringe problem, but a problem amongst the most popular products. This article is just to show most people, regardless of the marketplace they are buying questionable, and most likely fake NMNH.
In general the majority of people who purchase supplements are uneducated in what actually translates into a quality supplement. I will save you some time, outside of 3rd party and independent testing results(not claims!) being in your parameters you will end up buying fake supplements.
I have a video guide below going through the multiple things people think they can trust in to buy supplements that have absolutely no correlation to having what is advertised in the bottle. It's not entertaining nor very engaging, but at the end of it you will be better equipped on how to buy quality supplements and avoid fraudulent supplements.
